Seminar Series
The ChemGRC is proud to announce a new seminar series coming this fall that aims to provide you, the graduate student, an opportunity to present your own new and exciting research to your fellow students without the added pressures of formal job/ACS talks.
The ability to communicate science in a public setting is an invaluable asset for all scientists so it is our goal to help develop this skill in all IU Chemistry students. In addition, we hope that discussions held during these public presentations may act as a springboard for interdepartmental collaborations amongst graduate students.
The Seminar Series is a great opportunity for graduate students at various stages in their academic careers to work on their public speaking and presentation skills. Evaluation forms will be made available for the attending audience to allow for instant feedback.
If you are interested, please download and fill out this form. Talks will be scheduled on a first come/first serve basis and are reserved for graduate students only.
Talks will be limited to 30 minutes (25 + 5 for questions) and will be held in C033 on a monthly basis (subject to change based on level of interest). We hope that you will consider taking advantage of the opportunity!
If you have any questions, please contact us at chemgrc@indiana.edu. The official seminar application can be downloaded here.
